Over the past thirteen years, I have dedicated myself to teaching young children, bringing fun to every area of their learning, within a nurturing and supportive environment.
During this passage of time, my passion for storytelling began and I built it steadily into my classroom, where there were daily opportunities to perform to a very willing and excitable audience. My story chair was a unique feature of my classroom, loved and admired since its introduction. Children always enjoyed the chance of sitting together on it and walking round, identifying my paintings of different story scenes. It played a key role in my storytelling and has brought me many happy memories. 
As the years passed, I became known for my stories, as children fondly remembered me and contributed to my reputation within the wider school. The quote above was from a little girl several years after teaching her and was the most sincere praise. I have always remembered her and been grateful for such a lovely comment.
Lockdown gave rise to my storytime zoom sessions and I was delighted when children and their families tuned in each day. I was so pleased that I could contribute a means to help brighten that dark and confusing time and so my new chapter began to unfold.
It led me to make the difficult decision of leaving the classroom as a full time teacher and to persue my passion for storytelling through adventure workshops. Since then I have continued to build and fine tune my reportoire, writing new content for workshops and developing a character to assist me. I have aspired to build packages that are fresh and exciting, interactive on every level to create a lasting learning experience for each audience.

 

Booking a story adventure with me promises a day to remember.  Each of my adventures is a learning experience delivered with high levels of fun. Interactive and multi layered, they are stories we share together, building confidence and appreciation and developing vital speaking and listening skills. I strive to bring a story to life through everything at my disposal. My debut story is Hansel and Gretel.
This classic fairytale is adapted to include age groups of choice in personalised sessions, following a whole school introduction from my character Peggy Line.

 

Let’s Celebrate World Book Day (All day *)

A dramatic retelling from a much-loved Roald Dahl story with a character introduction. This involves tailored sessions for age groups of your choosing.
